Arrest made in Logan Circle restaurant robbery

D.C. police have charged a man with robbing two people at gunpoint as they dined on the patio of a Logan Circle restaurant last month. Police, who posted a video of the robbery on YouTube last week seeking the identity of the suspect, have arrested 30-year-old James Edward Wade, of Washington, and charged him with armed robbery. Police said Wade's arrest followed numerous tips from the public.

Child, 2 adults killed in crash

A 4-year-old girl and two adults are dead after a three-vehicle crash in Wheaton. Killed were Elizabeth Lemus, 4; Salvador Lemus Ramos, 39; and Felipe Pineda, 50. The crash happened about 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Georgia Avenue and Kayson Street. According to Montgomery County police, a 2000 Nissan Sentra driven by Salvador Ramos was making a left turn from Kayson Street on to northbound Georgia Avenue when it was struck by a blue 2008 Volkswagen Passat and an orange 2011 Chevrolet Camaro, both of which were traveling south on Georgia Avenue. All four occupants of the Nissan were ejected. Elizabeth Lemus and Salvador Ramos died at the scene. Pineda was taken to a hospital, where he died. The other passenger, Elba Pineda, 31, remains in serious condition.

Va. man charged with loaded gun at Dulles

A Virginia man was stopped at Washington Dulles International Airport for attempting to bring a loaded gun onto a plane. According to Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority Police, Albert N. Henderson Jr., 52, of Warrenton, was trying to board a flight to Houston when a checkpoint X-ray machine revealed that he had .22-caliber revolver and ammunition in his carry-on bag. The gun and ammunition were confiscated. Henderson was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon at the airport, a misdemeanor. Henderson was allowed to catch his flight.
