CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Actor and musician Jeff Bridges band's performance was cut short Monday afternoon when a torrential downpour sent his crowd running for shelter in downtown Charlotte. No matter, he brought brother Beau Bridges on stage for a little impromptu entertaining. Beau Bridges tried reciting poetry, until both Bridges were cut off when the mics went dead. Beforehand, Jeff Bridges talked a bit about his No Kid Hungry campaign, complementing politicos who have helped him, including North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue, a Democrat, and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican. Bridges met with at the RNC in Tampa.
