Is Miley smokin' the reefer?

Scandal erupted on the social media scene Tuesday when a picture of someone smoking a blunt surfaced on the Instagram account of "mileyxxcyrus." Although the woman in the black-and-white pic looks strikingly similar to the "Can't Be Tamed" singer -- and a tattoo on the person's right hand could easily be the equal sign that Miley publicized on Twitter when she got the ink last February -- the person's face is too obscured by smoke to know for sure. And Miley is claiming it's not her. "I don't have an Instagram," she tweeted late Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, she attempted to diffuse the situation, tweeting, "Why is everybody trippin. My timeline is blowing up. Everything's all good in my life just in a creative space right now."

But this isn't the first time the 20-year-old crooner has been seen in some questionable photos. Last week, the same Instagram account posted a photo of Miley sitting next to a man who appears to be smoking marijuana. So if this isn't Miley's account, then how are photos of her appearing on it? Hmmm.

And just a couple weeks ago, Miley was seen in photos with rapper Wiz Khalifa the night before the Grammys, once again sitting next to a guy lighting up. Wiz posted the photo on Instagram with the caption "Twinzies :-)" and took to Twitter as well, saying, "Miley's a G. We got sum s--t!!!!"

We may not get to the bottom of this one, but no doubt Miley will be in the spotlight again.
