Melissa takes on new role: Bouncer
Melissa McCarthy is taking a leaf out of Donald Trump's book. The actress-turned-director -- who's co-directing her first film, "Tammy," with husband Ben Falcone, also a first-time director -- said, "You're fired!" to an extra on her movie set Monday, TMZ reports.
Apparently, the extra -- a 20-something woman -- brought her young child along to the shoot in Wilmington, N.C., and didn't account for the fact that kids are very rarely well-behaved, especially for an entire day.
According to witnesses, the woman, who was getting paid just $58 for the entire day of filming, disrupted production by yelling at her kid, telling the child to "stop it" and to quiet down. Seems like she's the one who needed to put a sock in it.
Anyway, when Melissa saw the woman roughly yank the child up in the air by the wrist, the funnywoman got serious. The "Bridesmaids" star had the extra kicked out, reportedly saying that she wouldn't tolerate abuse on her set.
That makes us love Melissa even more -- and now she can add "bouncer" to her resume!
