"And the first lady of the United States -- bangs and all -- looking very sparkly and twinkly."

- President Obama, introducing his wife at Tuesday night's Staff Inaugural Ball at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. No official press photographers were allowed into the party, which featured Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett and a starship-shaped piano as entertainment for the evening, but a few cellphone shots reveal the first lady wore a gold-and-black top that was indeed sparkly and a pair of black wide-leg dress pants. (We inquired about who she was wearing, and the White House declined to comment).
