Three men have been charged in connection with a series of vehicle vandalisms that took place in the Centreville area last month.

Twenty-four-year-old David L. Stribling and 23-year-old Glen D. Edwards Jr., both of Centreville, and 21-year-old Tracy A. Carmichael, of Manassas, each face numerous property destruction and larceny charges, according to Fairfax County police.

In the early hours of Jan. 10, 44 parked vehicles in the Centreville are had their passenger-side windows smashed. GPS units, iPods, sunglasses and loose change were taken from the vehicles, police said.

Stribling, Edwards and Carmichael were arrested in recent weeks after police received an anonymous Crime Solvers tip. Police are continuing to investigate the vandalisms and might make additional arrests.

"Many times these sorts of cases go unsolved, unfortunately," said Capt. Ed O'Carroll, commander of the Sully Police District. "But thanks to the help from the public and media, our detectives received valuable information and were able to put pieces of information together linking these suspects to the crimes."
