Twitter has acquired Cover, an Android lock screen replacement that automatically puts apps that it thinks you'll want to use front and center based on your location and time of day. Cover doesn't say whether or not development will continue on its app, but it sounds as though it'll be setting the app aside as its team begins at Twitter. It's likely then that Twitter isn't interested in taking over your lock screen though so much as it's interested in Cover's creators and their experience with contextual information.
