Two teens arrested in College Park robbery

Police in Prince George's County have arrested two teens who they suspect robbed two students early Saturday morning.

At about 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a robbery call in the area of Baltimore Avenue and Pontiac Street in College Park. Two University of Maryland students claimed they were assaulted and robbed, and a wallet and two cell phones were taken.

Police found the stolen items on the ground nearby. Police also came into contact with a group of men not far from where the items were found, and identified Akauh Johann Kassi, 18, of Silver Spring and Diamante Akeen Sulaiman, 18, of Burtonsville, as suspects.

Both admitted to the crime, and have been charged with second degree assault, robbery and related charges.
