WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia police say detectives have arrested a man after a woman reported an Uber car service driver had sexually assaulted her.

Police arrested 31-year-old Reshad Chakari of Alexandria, Virginia, early Saturday. He is charged with second-degree sexual abuse.

Police say the alleged assault occurred in the early morning hours of July 20 in the 1400 block of Rhode Island Avenue in Washington. According to a police report, the woman said Chakari touched her while she was sleeping in the car.
