Britain's coastal residents were bracing Monday for more flooding with lashing winds, rain and high tides expected. Waves of up to 27 feet have been recorded at Land's End, the most southern tip of the U.K. In Aberystwyth in Wales, seafront homes, businesses and student residence halls were evacuated as high tides hit the Welsh coast. Weather forecasting body the Met Office warned of wind gusts of up to 70 mph, accompanied by exceptionally large waves, along the coasts of Wales, southwest England and Northern Ireland
