Union workers at Modern Honolulu authorize strike

HONOLULU (AP) — A group of 260 union workers at the Modern Honolulu hotel in Waikiki have authorized leaders to call for a strike.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported Friday (http://goo.gl/uCmmA ) that no date has been set for a strike.

Unite Here Local 5 is representing the workers in negotiations with hotel management.
