OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A University of Nebraska at Omaha professor has joined the board of a national organization that promotes financial literacy.

The Council on Economic Education promotes economic and financial education from kindergarten through high school.

Business processor Mary Lynn Reiser will begin serving a three-year term on the group's board in January.

Reiser says her role will be to help the council work with teachers to improve economic education.
