OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Championships are under way in Omaha.

The competition will help determine who will represent the United States at the Olympics next year.

The event will culminate next weekend. But fans can see some of the best figure skaters in the world compete every day this week.

This is the first time Omaha has hosted the competition since 1967 when Peggy Fleming won the fourth of her five U.S. titles.

Last year's U.S. championships were in San Jose.
