TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — FirstEnergy Corp. subsidiary Toledo Edison says it will put $11 million into upgrading its electrical system this year in northwest Ohio.

That work includes replacing underground cables and electrical poles and upgrading distribution circuits.

The utility says it also will continue on with tree trimming in Defiance, Toledo and several suburbs in the Toledo area.

It also plans work on replacing equipment in downtown Toledo's underground electrical network and replacing utility poles in Clyde, Perrysburg and Wauseon.
