VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — First Landing State Park is celebrating the opening of its new trail center.

A grand opening ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The center's museum exhibits will debut at the grand opening.

The center has been open since last spring. It also has a gift shop, information desk and rentable meeting rooms.

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation says First Landing is the most visited state park in Virginia. The park in Virginia Beach was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
