The Supreme Court decided Wednesday 5-4 to strike down the overall limits any donor can make to a political campaign.

House Democrats are not pleased with the decision, comparing it to the 2010 CItizens United decision. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, R-Calif., said, "It was a very bad decision but totally consistent with their backward thinking: undermining our democracy, which this court did with Citizens United."

While the democrats see this as a loss for democracy, it's seen as a big win for conservatives who said this was a first amendment issue.

Shaun McCutcheon, an Alabama businessman who brought this case to the Supreme Court, said that it violated his First Amendment rights.
