At a diesel engine factory in Michigan this morning, President Obama criticized the “Right-to-Work” laws recently passed by the Republican party in Michigan.

Obama explained to the workers that because of the auto bailout the auto industry was back on track.

“What we shouldn’t be doing is trying to take away your rights to bargain for better wages,” he said as the audience erupted in cheers and applause.

Obama insisted that the new laws were not good for the state economy, event though Republican Governor Rick Snyder is expected to sign the legislation this week.

According to a local pool report, union members at Daimler Diesel were wearing stickers that read, “The President Saved the Auto Industry. Don’t Let Snyder Destroy It.”

“They don’t have to do with economics. They have everything to do with politics,” Obama warned about the new laws. “What they’re really talking about is to give you the right to work for less money.”

Obama added that in Michigan, it was obvious that unions had helped build a “stronger middle class and a stronger America.”
