A day after naming five democrats to the special committee
in charge of investigating the Benghazi attacks, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi
, D-Calif., is still skeptical about its purpose.
"Here we are wasting time on an unnecessary investigation," Pelosi said. "We thought it was necessary to have some watch dogs in the room."
The Republican leaders who created this select committee say there are still unanswered questions surrounding the Obama Administration's response to the September 2012 attacks in Benghazi
. They also want to dig deeper into the lax security at the attacked compound.
Pelosi claims this investigation is just a distraction from the country's other problems. She says it is, "just a diversionary tactic for not being able to come up with anything good to create jobs, to grow the economy."
The five democrats join seven republicans previously added to the committee.
