Rep. Virgil Goode, D-Va., might have left Congress three years ago, but you can still capture a piece of his political career on eBay. A 2004 Thomas Jefferson Award, inscribed with Goode's name on it, is currently up for bidding.

Given by the International Foodservice Distributors Association to members of Congress who "have demonstrated their commitment to free enterprise," the award is being sold by Perdue Antiques of Rocky Mount, Va. Store owner Holland Perdue tells Yeas & Nays that it was acquired at a yard sale held by Goode after he cleaned out his office and is still in its original box. Perdue adds that "these types of items do not hit the market often." He is unsure of its market value but calls the award "a great piece of history for a political collector."

The award has yet to receive a bid.
