Of the Capitals’ six unrestricted free agents, the obvious candidate to leave early was goalie Tomas Vokoun. Not exactly difficult math to come to that conclusion. He had a so-so regular season by his lofty standards with a 25-17-2 record, a .917 save percentage, his lowest since 2003-04, and a goals-against average of 2.51. Not bad.
