BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Bentonville-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has set its annual shareholders meeting for its customary slot of the first Friday in June.
The June 6 meeting will be at Bud Walton Arena on the University of Arkansas campus at Fayetteville.
The world's largest retailer is known for putting on an extravaganza that blends news about the company's finances with performances by celebrity entertainers.
Wal-Mart had fiscal 2013 sales of $466 billion and has more than 2 million employees worldwide. The company has more than 11,000 stores across 27 countries.
