MONROE, La. (AP) — The former chief executive officer of St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe will return to the same role on an interim basis while a search is conducted for Louis Bremer's replacement.
K. Scott Wester, currently the CEO of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, will take over for Bremer, who announced his retirement last week. His 41-year career in the industry will end Friday.
The News-Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/1nWfKlK ) Wester was CEO of St. Francis from 2004-08 before Bremer took over.
A search for Bremer's permanent replacement will be conducted by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, — the parent organization to St. Francis — with an appointment expected in the next few months.
