Weyerhaeuser gives $20K for gardens pavilion

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Timberlands manager Weyerhaeuser has donated $20,000 to the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden.

LSU officials say the money will be used for construction of a pavilion associated with the trees and trails educational program at the gardens.

Botanic gardens director Jeff Kuehny says the pavilion will accommodate up to 120 people and is part of the master plan for development of the site.

The gardens are part of the 440-acre Burden Museum and Gardens, which includes the LSU Rural Life Museum and Windrush Gardens.
