The Wall Street Journal reports that China may further tighten regulations on rare earth exports amid concerns that escalating prices have led to a surge in rare earth smuggling and the export of byproducts not included in current quota restrictions. The Wall Street Journal reports that Eastman Kodak (NYSE:EK) is exploring a sale of the company's patent for previewing photographs currently being litigated against Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM). Finally, Bloomberg reports that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) won an agreement from Samsung Electronics the company won't sell the latest version of its tablet computer in Australia until a patent lawsuit there is resolved.
