White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said that he had “no comment” from President Obama in response to a reporter’s question about his reaction to the Manti Te’o hoax girlfriend story.

“It’s fascinating,” admitted Carney during the White House press briefing this afternoon, “But I don’t have anything for you.”

Carney added that he had not discussed the story with the president.
