"The Administration does not support blowing up planets." -- one of the reasons Paul Shawcross, chief of the Science and Space Branch at the White House Office of Management and Budget, gave for why the White House would not be securing the resources and funding and beginning construction of a Death Star by 2016, as citizens petitioned the government to do. He also noted that a Death Star would cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000 to build. "Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?" he mused. Touche, Mr. Shawcross, touche.
