Sen. Rand Paul is heading to New Hampshire next week with three events designed to shore up his likely 2016 presidential campaign in the first-in-the-nation primary state.
The Kentucky Republican will be the guest of state Sen. Andy Sanborn at a business roundtable fundraiser on Sept. 12, according to the New Hampshire Journal.
Sanborn was the state co-chair of the 2012 presidential campaign of Paul’s father, Ron Paul.
Paul will also deliver marks before Sen. Kelly Ayotte’s keynote address at the state Republican Party’s “Unity Breakfast" that same day in Manchester.
His third event will be on Sept. 11, where he is the featured speaker at an event sponsored by Generation Opportunity, a Koch brothers nonprofit.
A Real Clear Politics average of polls shows Paul with 10.3 percent of support from Republicans in 2016 — should he officially decide to run.
