WJLA reporter Gail Huff is taking a leave of absence from the D.C.-based television station to join her husband's political campaign, according to Boston.com. Huff's husband is Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., who is fighting a tough re-election battle against Democrat Elizabeth Warren. Huff made the announcement via a video that was released by the campaign Monday. "You may remember me as Gail Huff from Boston television for many years working as a news reporter, standing out in all those storms, wearing all those hats," Huff said. "Well, now I'm wearing a different hat, in fact I'm taking on a new assignment, I'm helping my husband with his re-election." Huff added that she will be traveling through Massachusetts with her husband. She has been working part-time for WJLA since 2010, the year Brown was first elected to the Senate.
