An Anne Arundel County woman was arrested after she intentionally drove her pickup truck into her estranged husband and seriously injured him, police officials said.

Patina Morehead, 39, was charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

About 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police and fire department personnel went to the 1200 block of Hawthorne Street in Shady Side.

An investigation found that Morehead allegedly went to her estranged husband's home, and the pair argued. They ended up in the man's driveway, and Morehead got into her 2004 pickup truck and drove toward her husband, striking him and pinning him between her pickup truck and a parked vehicle, according to police.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his lower body and was flown to a hospital.
