A woman was found dead Monday morning in a Dewey Beach, Del., motel room, police said, and the man suspected of killing her has been found dead in New Jersey.
Danielle Mehlman, 26, of Bensalem, Pa., was found by a cleaning lady in a ground-floor room of the Atlantic Oceanside Motel, Delaware State Police said. Her cause of death is being investigated by a medical examiner's office.
Police identified 26-year-old Pawan Kumar, of Wilmington, Del., as the suspect. Delaware State Police were notified that Kumar was found dead in the Bellville Motor Lodge in Bellville, N.J.
Authorities said they had obtained arrest warrants charging Kumar with first-degree murder and with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
