Woman stabbed on Capitol Hill

A woman was stabbed on Capitol Hill in an incident that may have been a case of domestic violence, police said.

The incident took place at about 8 p.m. Wednesday near Kentucky Avenue and C streets SE, a few blocks from Lincoln Park and the Eastern Market and Potomac Avenue Metro stations. The victim was conscious and breathing when emergency personnel arrived, police spokeswoman Officer Tisha Gant said.

Police are looking for a black male who is 5-feet-10 and was wearing a black jacket and a red shirt.
