A woman was stabbed to death in a domestic-related incident in Prince George's County, police said, and a suspect has been taken into custody.

The incident took place at about 8:30 a.m. Monday at an apartment in the 5200 block of Morris Avenue in Camp Springs. The victim was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Prince George's County police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland said.

The suspected attacker fled the scene, but police were able to apprehend him a short time later in the 6100 block of Harley Lane. The man had not yet been officially charged Monday afternoon, Copeland said.

Police are still working to determine the relationship between the suspect and the victim, but Copeland said there was no history of calls for service at the apartment.
