There might be a reason why President Obama, who has golfed more than most modern-day presidents, has only asked House Speaker John Boehner, equally travelled to the nation's putting greens, to play once since the Ohio Republican took charge of the House.

According to his biographer, the Washington Post's Bob Woodward, Obama simply hates Republicans, especially in social settings.

The author of "Obama's Wars," and the "Price of Politics," was on MSNBC's Morning Joe show Friday when the hosts began debating Obama's personal style, with lead host Joe Scarborough calling the president aloof and co-host Mika Brzezinski giving Obama credit for hosting Republicans at the White House.

As she spoke, Woodward interrupted with "And he hates it, he hates it. He'd rather do anything other than that!"
