LYONS, Neb. (AP) — Beginning farmers and ranchers can learn more about their businesses at a series of workshops this spring.
The Center for Rural Affairs is working with the University of Nebraska -Lincoln's extension offices to sponsor the free workshops at locations across the state.
Three of the workshops will focus on vegetable and fruit production. The other three will look at the benefits of mob grazing and grass-fed beef.
Experienced farmers and ranchers will lead the workshops.
Wyatt Fraas with the Center for Rural Affairs says all of the workshops will include financial planning advice for running a business.
Anyone interested in attending the April workshops should call Gary Lesoing at UNL Extension at 402-274-4755.
