CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors has unanimously approved $13 million in state grants and loans to help one of the country's largest producers of ammunition magazines for guns relocate to the state.

Erie, Colo.-based Magpul Industries is planning to move its production, distribution and shipping operations to Cheyenne. The company vowed to leave Colorado after that state enacted gun control laws last year.

The $13 million in state economic development money will help Magpul start operations in Cheyenne later this summer in a temporary facility and then move into a permanent facility in a couple of years.

The State Land and Investment Board, which is made up of the five statewide elected officials, still must approve the proposal. Then Gov. Matt Mead has final say.
