Whether you like it or not, you’re about to see a lot more Facebook ads in apps you use on your smartphones and tablets. That’s the upshot of a long-anticipated announcement by Facebook today of an advertising network that will allow its ads to be distributed throughout mobile apps. The Facebook Audience Network, announced at the company’s software developer conference called f8 in San Francisco, will allow developers to run banner ads, interstitial ads that appear between app pages, and custom “native” ads intended to fit into the flow of individual apps.
