ABC launches politics site, confuses POTUS and Paul

ABC News launched the beta version its new OTUS politics website on Monday, but not without a minor snafu. When web surfers tried using the Match-o-Matic, a survey that matches policy preferences to presidential candidates, fans of the POTUS were greeted with a depiction that looked strangely like the white-haired, dark eyebrowed GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul. The boo boo was quickly discovered, with a President Obama cartoon swapped in. “The technical glitch was fixed promptly,” ABC’s Michelle Levi told Yeas & Nays, adding that OTUS had received more than a million page views on its first day. OTUS stands for “Of the United States,” for those not familiar with Washington’s favorite acronym.
