SEE IT: AOC trolls Fox News contributor over $28 Taco Bell lunch

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to Twitter to troll a viral clip that addressed inflation.

The clip of Scott Martin, chief investment officer at Kingsview Partners, complaining about how his lunch at Taco Bell cost $28 on Fox Business went viral this week. Martin meant to use it as an example of “how bad inflation is.”

“People need to pay for those things, and they do that by getting jobs and getting in the economy and getting active and getting involved,” Martin said.

AOC CONFRONTED BY PROTESTER ACCUSING HER OF ‘VOTING TO START NUCLEAR WAR’

“If someone is talking politics and eating $28 of Taco Bell in one sitting then my immediate follow up question is what their thoughts are on Biden’s executive order on cannabis rescheduling,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted in response to the clip.

Taco Bell even joined in on the fun, pointing out in a tweet of its own that “14 x $2 Burritos = $28.” “What’s your $28 order?” it asked social media users.

The representative’s attempt to poke fun at the issue turned the spotlight on herself, with many Twitter users responding to her tweet with another video clip of her being confronted by an anti-war protester on Wednesday who accused her of voting to start a “nuclear war” in Russia.

YouTuber Viva Frei took an opportunity to accuse AOC of hypocrisy in another tweet.

“Says the woman wearing a $3,000 jacket while fighting for ‘social justice,'” Frei tweeted with photos of the blue Proenza Schouler coat alongside another snapshot of Ocasio-Cortez wearing what appears to be the garment.
