The National Republican Congressional Committee reported that more than $16,300 was stolen by an unknown actor, possibly from a foreign country.
The reported fraud occurred July 7, when the NRCC tried to pay a bill from Ranger Wi-Fi Consulting, the campaign committee for House Republicans told the Federal Election Commission in an official form. The wireless technology and security firm is based in Texas, but it’s unclear where the fraud payment went.
