DC resident asks for $3 million for altercation where National Guard detained her on front porch

An Army combat veteran is suing the Idaho National Guard for $3 million for an incident in which she claims she was assaulted at her home in Washington while being detained on her front porch.

The American Civil Liberties Union of the District of Columbia filed a lawsuit Wednesday on behalf of Anna King, who was sitting on her front porch on the evening of May 8 when National Guard members breached her front gate, told her she was being detained, and “violently restrained” her.
