The Democratic National Committee deserves credit.

Its Rules and Bylaws Committee has done what the Republican National Committee has stubbornly refused to do — question the entrenched cartel that has allowed Iowa and New Hampshire to dominate the presidential nominating process since the rise of the modern primary system in the 1970s.
