ICE sets new monthly record in August with most-ever illegal immigrants arrested

President Donald Trump’s deportation machine reached a new milestone in August as Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested more illegal immigrants nationwide than any previous month.

The Department of Homeland Security announced late Wednesday that ICE took 50,925 people into custody last month. The figure surpassed the July record of 50,208 and the previous record of 43,900 set in June.
